The Cyrus Mantle

The term the “Cyrus mantle” is taken from a letter written by Nita Johnson regarding her prophecy about Donald Trump:

I want to share something with you that I believe will be very meaningful. However, before I do, I want to ask all of you some questions.

What are you looking for in a President? A born-again Christian or God's choice? Do you want someone that will impress the Nations or do you want someone who will accomplish God's purpose? When you pray that God will put His man in office, what does he look like to you?

There are two extremes (and everything in between) who are now vying for the Presidency. On your right, we have an outspoken and opinionated Donald Trump. On your left, we have a quiet, gentle, and wise Ben Carson. Most of the rest look like varying degrees of the Republican Establishment.

I didn't know the Republican Establishment had a look, did you? I suddenly saw it for myself. Once you stack them up against Donald Trump and Ben Carson, it shakes you a little. They all act like a bunch of wolves protecting their dens from the intruders, Donald and Ben. You see, it is no longer about what is right for America, but what this year's issues are going to be. They tell us what we are supposed to want and need, and then how they will provide it for us. Then we hear the other two men; Donald Trump and Ben Carson, and they tell us something so different that we have to pay attention.

Four years ago the Lord spoke to me and told me that in the next election, He would put a Cyrus in the White House. In fact, He said that the mantel would flow out to many, and they would do the work to galvanize the people to liberate America. I believe He will do this if we will pray. Everywhere I went I shared the vision of the Lord. I have had several dreams and visions about Donald Trump and each time, he seemed to come out of nowhere to take on the establishment! Then it began to happen.

I also felt that Ben Carson was supposed to be in office which the Lord confirmed to me in a dream not long ago. As time moved on the Lord continued to speak to me and something began to take shape that led to this letter.

If you want a religious man, you can have that in Ben Carson. He will be good in his place, in the season God has for him. However, God has not equipped him to do what our Nation needs at this time in history. I look for that to come later. If you want a Cyrus that will turn America back to the land of promise and deal with the high-level wickedness, you must look for the one who is anointed for this purpose: Donald Trump. The man at the top does not need a Cyrus mantel to turn America around if he is a spirit-filled Christian. He does, however if he is Trump. It's the mantel of Cyrus that will do the work. The man simply will be a tool in God's lofty and wise hands. I think a great pairing would be Trump as the President and Carson as the Vice President.

Trump may have need of grace in particular areas. Nevertheless, he is not evil like those of the shadow government. He will cause many of their tall and lofty mountains to fall. I promise you, as God is through Trump, doing that very thing. Trump is like a bull out of the pen, he sees red and heads for the target. He is as fearless as a lion being robbed of its cubs. With the mantle of Cyrus and the qualities God gave him, Trump will achieve as much as we, through our prayers, make a way for him to accomplish. It will take the whole team fighting for this nation, for us to win the war.

For our modern day Cyrus to achieve God's design he will need more than just desire. He will need solid prayer covering and divine enablement. The Church cannot keep thinking that the world will take care of us just because we are the Lord's. The world wants their government, not God's. The Church will end up in a den of suffering if we do not fight now through prayer and our actions by voting for God's will.

One person mentioned to me that they thought God could just put the Cyrus Mantel on Dr. Carson. He could, but the Lord does tend to make the personality of the bearer fit the mantel. This being the case, why do we trifle with God's selection? He is so much more than our little, and fearful boxes can visualize.

I received many visions last night which led to writing this letter and sending it out. Aim high in faith my friends, and let God be God. He won't disappoint us if we will pray and trust Him. I stood for Ben Carson because I had several visions wherein I saw him taking on the Presidency. But, the Lord told me it is Trump's place now. We will not keep America if the Lord cannot have His way. I know it takes faith to receive this so, believe and act on it. We will not be sorry!

The Spirit of God says, I have chosen this man, Donald Trump, for such a time as this. For as Benjamin Netanyahu is to Israel, so shall this man be to the United States of America! For I will use this man to bring honor, respect and restoration to America. America will be respected once again as the most powerful and prosperous nation on earth, (other than Israel). The dollar will be the strongest it has ever been in the history of the United States, and will once again be the currency by which all others are judged.

The Spirit of God says, the enemy will quake and shake and fear this man I have anointed. They will even quake and shake when he announces he is running for president; it will be like the shot heard across the world. The enemy will say what shall we do now? This man knows all our tricks and schemes. We have been robbing America for decades, what shall we do to stop this? The Spirit says HA! No one shall stop this that l have started! For the enemy has stolen from America for decades and it stops now! For I will use this man to reap the harvest that the United States has sown for and plunder from the enemy what he has stolen and return it 7 fold back to the United States. The enemy will say Israel, Israel, what about Israel? For Israel will be protected by America once again. The spirit says yes! America will once again stand hand and hand with Israel, and the two shall be as one. For the ties between Israel and America will be stronger than ever, and Israel will flourish like never before.

The Spirit of God says, I will protect America and Israel, for this next president will be a man of his word, when he speaks the world will listen and know that there is something greater in him than all the others before him. This man’s word is his bond and the world and America will know this and the enemy will fear this, for this man will be fearless. The Spirit says, when the financial harvest begins so shall it parallel in the spiritual for America.

The Spirit of God says, in this next election they will spend billions to keep this president in; it will be like flushing their money down the toilet. Let them waste their money, for it comes from and it is being used by evil forces at work, but they will not succeed, for this next election will be a clean sweep for the man I have chosen. They will say things about this man (the enemy), but it will not affect him, and they shall say it rolls off of him like the duck, for as the feathers of a duck protect it, so shall my feathers protect this next president. Even mainstream news media will be captivated by this man and the abilities that I have gifted him with, and they will even begin to agree with him says the Spirit of God.

My purpose in doing this bible study is to explore what the term the “Cyrus mantle” might mean. So here we go, here is what I came up with. (I will put in brackets, make bold and italicize) any comments regarding scripture references I feel directly apply. You of course will prayerfully make up your own mind. Unless otherwise noted, I am using the English Standard Version of the bible.

II Chronicles 36: 22,23

The Proclamation of Cyrus

²² Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom and also put it in writing:

²³ “Thus says Cyrus king of Persia, ‘The Lord, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth, and he has charged me to build him a house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Whoever is among you of all his people, may the Lord his God be with him. Let him go up.’”

Note above in verse 22 that Cyrus began his work his (1^st year in office.) Note also that Cyrus says God has given him all kingdoms of the earth. Possibly once again America will be looked to as the leading nation in the world.

This is the end of II Chronicles. The proclamation continues in the following book of Ezra:

Ezra 1:1-8

1 In the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom and also put it in writing:

² “Thus says Cyrus king of Persia: The Lord, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth, and he has charged me to build him a house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah. ³ Whoever is among you of all his people, may his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and rebuild the house of the Lord, the God of Israel—he is the God who is in Jerusalem. ⁴ And let each survivor, in whatever place he sojourns, be assisted by the men of his place with silver and gold, with goods and with beasts, besides freewill offerings for the house of God that is in Jerusalem.”

⁵ Then rose up the heads of the fathers' houses of Judah and Benjamin, and the priests and the Levites, everyone whose spirit God had stirred to go up to rebuild the house of the Lord that is in Jerusalem. ⁶ And all who were about them aided them with vessels of silver, with gold, with goods, with beasts, and with costly wares, besides all that was freely offered. ⁷ Cyrus the king also brought out the vessels of the house of the Lord that Nebuchadnezzar had carried away from Jerusalem and placed in the house of his gods. ⁸ Cyrus king of Persia brought these out in the charge of Mithredath the treasurer, who counted them out to Sheshbazzar the prince of Judah.

Notice in verse 4 that the project was (funded in part by freewill offerings.)

Notice in verse 7 Cyrus (returned to Israel what was stolen from her.) The president with the Cyrus mantle will see to it that what was stolen from America is returned to her. (e.g. Saying Merry Christmas, prayer in schools, any number of things that were lost to political correctness). Following in verse 9 it goes into more detail about what those items were. You can also find a detailed description of this in the writings of Josephus.

Ezra 3:7

⁷ So they gave money to the masons and the carpenters, and food, drink, and oil to the Sidonians and the Tyrians to bring cedar trees from Lebanon to the sea, to Joppa, according to the grant that they had from Cyrus king of Persia.

What we see taking place here was originally funded by King Solomon in the original building of the temple. This time it is partially funded by the grant from King Cyrus. (Self funded)

Ezra 4:1-5

4 Now when the adversaries of Judah and Benjamin heard that the returned exiles were building a temple to the Lord, the God of Israel,² they approached Zerubbabel and the heads of fathers' houses and said to them, “Let us build with you, for we worship your God as you do, and we have been sacrificing to him ever since the days of Esarhaddon king of Assyria who brought us here.” ³ But Zerubbabel, Jeshua, and the rest of the heads of fathers' houses in Israel said to them, “You have nothing to do with us in building a house to our God; but we alone will build to the Lord, the God of Israel, as King Cyrus the king of Persia has commanded us.”

⁴ Then the people of the land discouraged the people of Judah and made them afraid to build ⁵ and bribed counselors against them to frustrate their purpose, all the days of Cyrus king of Persia, even until the reign of Darius king of Persia.

All through the reign of the king there were deceivers and discouragers just as there will be all through the administration of the president with the Cyrus mantle.

To get a clearer picture of what took place read all of Ezra chapters 4,5 & 6. At one point they actually succeeded in causing the work to be stopped but one came after who insured that the king’s decree be followed. Will there be an administration after the president with the Cyrus mantle that insures his policies and programs continue? When a letter was sent to King Darius he dug into the archives and found the original decree by king Cyrus and ordered that it be completed without delay. And notice in Ezra 6:6 and following, that the discouragers were not only ordered to keep their hands off of God’s work but they were ordered by king Darius help fund the project. They were made to (pay for the wall)

Isaiah 44:24-28

²⁴ Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer,
    who formed you from the womb:
“I am the Lord, who made all things,
    who alone stretched out the heavens,
    who spread out the earth by myself,
²⁵ who frustrates the signs of liars
    and makes fools of diviners,
who turns wise men back
    and makes their knowledge foolish,
²⁶ who confirms the word of his servant
    and fulfills the counsel of his messengers,
who says of Jerusalem, ‘She shall be inhabited,’
    and of the cities of Judah, ‘They shall be built,
    and I will raise up their ruins’;
²⁷ who says to the deep, ‘Be dry;
    I will dry up your rivers’;
²⁸ who says of Cyrus, ‘He is my shepherd,
    and he shall fulfill all my purpose’;
saying of Jerusalem, ‘She shall be built,’
    and of the temple, ‘Your foundation shall be laid.’”

Verse 28. Shepherd - to tend a flock, pasture it. To graze, literally or figuratively, to rule, to associate with as a friend, keep company with. Is this how a great leader will relate to the people? How long has it been since we’ve felt the leader of our nation cared about what was going on with us?

Isaiah 45:1 and following.  Anointed – Patriarchs priests and kings were anointed. Specifically, the Messiah. It meant a special relationship between God and that individual. It appears that this is the only place is scripture where that special relationship is between God and a gentile king. In Jeremiah 25:8 & 9 God calls Nebuchadnezzar his servant but not anointed.
